What is the insulation performance of polycarbonate greenhouse?
The insulation performance of polycarbonate greenhouses is good, mainly due to the following reasons:
Low thermal conductivity: The thermal conductivity of polycarbonate is much lower than that of ordinary glass and other common greenhouse covering materials. This means that it can effectively reduce the heat transmitted through the board, just like putting a layer of insulation "jacket" on the greenhouse, which can prevent indoor heat from quickly dissipating to the outside, thus maintaining a relatively stable indoor temperature.
Multi layer structure design: Many polycarbonate sheets use multi-layer hollow structures, such as double-layer, three-layer, or even more layers. The air layer in the middle of this structure plays a good role in insulation. Air is a poor conductor of heat, which can further hinder the transfer of heat and enhance the insulation effect.
Good sealing performance: The connection between polycarbonate sheets is usually sealed with sealing strips or other sealing methods, which can effectively prevent air leakage from gaps, reduce heat loss caused by air convection, and create a relatively enclosed warm space inside the greenhouse.
